Colman-Egan edges De Smet
COLMAN — The Colman-Egan Hawks outscored the De Smet Bulldogs 24-16 in the second half to come away with a 46-38 victory Friday in Colman.
The Hawks move to 9-5 with the win while the Bulldogs fall to 6-9.
Colman-Egan was led by Kaylee Voelker with 16 points. Lanie Mousel had 13 points and 11 rebounds. Brynlee Landis chipped in 11 points.
The Bulldogs were led by Hazel Luethmers with 19 points. Brooke Jennings hauled in 10 rebounds to pace De Smet.
The Bulldogs are at Castlewood Tuesday.

De Smet 70, Colman-Egan 30
COLMAN — The De Smet Bulldogs, ranked fourth in Class B, opened up quickly and disposed of the Colman-Egan Hawks 70-30 in boys’ basketball Friday night.
The Bulldogs opened up a 27-7 lead after one quarter of play and never allowed the Hawks any daylight the rest of the way.
Tom Aughenbaugh led the Bulldogs with 20 points while Britt Carlson added 16. Grant Wilkinson accounted for six rebounds for De Smet, which improves to 10-3 with the win.
Jase Mousel led the Hawks with 19 points, while Jackson Zwart added nine and had six rebounds. CE falls to 4-6.
De Smet travels to Canistota on Monday for a battle of Class B heavyweights.

The win moves the Vikings to 4-7, while the Rustlers fall to 2-9.
Freshman Davis Chase led the Vikings with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Isaac Korell had 17 points and Jerrad Wallman added 13 points.
Dax Frandsen dished out seven assists for JVC.
Isaak Hunter led the Rustlers with 23 points. Alex Schumacher added 18 points and Derek Brueggeman chipped in 11 points for the Rustlers.
JVC will host Iroquois/Lake Preston Saturday while the Rustlers travel Saturday to Wessington Springs.
