Langford Area 43, Hitchcock-Tulare 41
LANGFORD — A come-from-behind bid in the fourth quarter fell just short for Hitchcock-Tulare on Saturday, handing Langford Area its first win of the season with a 43-41 victory.
After trailing by 11 points heading into the final quarter, the Lady Patriots were able to outscore Langford Area 19-10 during the final eight minutes of play.
Megan Gustafson finished with a game-high 20 points to lead the Lions to the win. Payton Marlow and Alex Darling added eight points each.
Cambree Hoekman had 18 points and four steals to lead Hitchcock-Tulare, which is now 1-2. Rebecca Huizenga and Isabel Gilbert added six points each.
Huizenga also had team-high totals with 10 rebounds and three assists.
The Lady Patriots are now off until the Big Bo Classic on Dec. 28 in Wolsey.
