Wessington Springs 72, Sunshine Bible Academy 33
WESSINGTON SPRINGS - The Wessington Springs Spartans moved to 3-1 with a big 72-33 Thursday over the Sunshine Bible Academy in 281 Conference regular season action in Wessington Springs.

Brock Krueger led the Spartans with 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Karter Mebius had 11 points. Ryder Michalek grabbed seven rebounds.

SBA fell to 0-5. Dominic Kalacinski led the Crusaders with 10 points.

The Spartans will battle Jones County as part of the Huron Holiday Classic Dec. 30. The Crusaders will next be in action against the Lower Brule junior varsity on Jan. 9.

WOLSEY - After the Wolsey-Wessington Lady Warbirds clawed back into the game to enter the fourth quarter tied, the Sully Buttes Chargers finished strong to claim a 46-41 victory Thursday in Wolsey in a matchup of two teams that both participated in last season’s Class “B” state tournament.

Stevie Wittler led the Chargers (3-2) with 20 points. Paige Baker added 16 and Addison Chicoine chipped in 11 points for Sully Buttes.

The Warbirds fall to 0-4 despite 17 points from Payton Kemnitz. Kendal Uttecht had eight points and three rebounds.

The Lady Warbirds will next be in action Thursday, Dec. 28, as part of the Big Bo Classic.
