Iroquois/Lake Preston 48, Highmore-Harrold 47
HIGHMORE — The Iroquois/Lake Preston Sharks held a comfortable lead for much of the game, then withstood a comeback effort by the Highmore-Harrold Pirates to emerge with a 48-47 win in 281 Conference girls’ basketball action Friday night at the Hyde County Memorial Auditorium.

Hadlee Holt scored 17 points and matched that total in rebounds to pace the Sharks, now 4-3, to the win. Adison Moore and Kera Dubro each chipped in 11 points and Dubro snagged nine boards.

Kendall Cermak scored a game-high 19 points and claimed seven rebounds for H-H, which falls to 2-4 with the loss. Addison McDonnell added 12 points for the Pirates.

I/LP hosts Hitchcock-Tulare in Iroquois on Tuesday, while the Pirates host Stanley County, also on Tuesday night.
