ONIDA — Wes Wittler had a game-high 23 points to lead fourplayers in double figures for Sully Buttes in a 68-47 win against Hitchcock-Tulare.

The Chargers, who are now 8-3, outscored Hitchcock-Tulare 31-16 in the second quarter en route to the win.

Jett Yackley and Gavin Colson each had 12 points for Sully Buttes, while Eli Mercer added 11 points.

Devin Enander and Aiden Frankenstein each had 13 points to lead the Patriots, who are now 4-8. Patrick Maynard also reached double figures with 10 points.

Hitchcock-Tulare plays at James Valley Christian on Tuesday. Sully Buttes hosts Warner today.

REDFIELD — After leading 28-21 at the half, Hitchcock-Tulare outscored Redfield 17-6 in the third quarter en route to a 65-50 victory on Tuesday.

Patrick Maynard had 24 points, including five 3-pointers to lead three players in double figures for the Patriots, who improved to 4-7. Devin Enander had 14 points, while Adien Frankenstein and Briggs LaBrie added 12 and nine points, respectively.

Maynard also had a team-high nine rebounds for Hitchcock-Tulare.

Redfield, which is now 0-11, was led by Ruben Alvarez with a game-high 25 points. Grady Hulscher also reached double figures with 10 points.
Alveraz and Isaac Banister each had six rebounds for the Pheasants.

FORESTBURG –– After jumping out to a big 21-10 lead in the first half, the Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Blackhawks found themselves trailing entering the fourth quarter, but they pulled out a 54-50 victory over the Hanson Beavers on Tuesday at Sanborn Central High School.

The Blackhawks move to 8-4 behind 16 points and eight rebounds apiece for Landon Jensen and McCoy Schulz.

Schulz had five steals and Jensen and Bryce Larson each dished out four assists.

Individual stats for Hanson (8-4) were not available.

The Blackhawks will host Ethan on Tuesday at Sanborn Central.

MILLER –– The Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds jumped out to a 25-5 lead after the first quarter and coasted to a 65-38 victory Tuesday over the Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders at the SBA Event Center.

Moshe Richmond and Caleb Richmond each had 13 points to lead W-W and Jett Kleinsasser added 10 points.

Sawyer Nelson pulled in eight rebounds to lead the Warbirds, now 10-3.

Trey Thieman nailed five threes on the way to a game-high 22 points for the Crusaders, now 1-8. Owan Watson led SBA with four rebounds.

The Warbirds travel to Kimball to play Kimball/White Lake on Tuesday. The Crusaders will host Highmore-Harrold.

Aleaha Schlechter had 13 points to lead the Rustlers to the victory.

Morgan Kolda also reached double figures with 10 points, while Paige Werdel had nine points. Kate Lichty and Jayce Pugh added eight and seven points, respectively.

Janiyah Waldnerled JVC with five points, while Rylin Wipf had four points.

Miller, which is now 11-2, hosts Wessington Springs today. The Lady Vikings (0-10) travel to face Iroquois/Lake Preston in Lake Preston today.

WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Sanborn Central/Woonsocket earned a 78-62 victory against Wessington Springs in a 281 Conference matchup on Thursday.

The Lady Blackhawks, who improved to 11-2, held a 24-11 lead at the end of the first quarter, but led just 39-33 at the half. A 24-14 run in the third quarter allowed them to carry a 63-47 advantage into the final quarter.

Lizz Boschee had a game-high 34 points to lead Sanborn Central/Woonsocket. Addi Bartholow had 16 points, including four 3-pointers, while Alexa Goertz added 10 points.

Kerstynn Heim had 17 points, including an 8-of-12 effort from the free-throw line, to lead Wessingotn Springs, which is now 5-8. Ashlyn Weber also reach double figures with 12 points, while Masynn Mebius and Kenzie Kolousek had nine and eight points, respectively.

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket will host Ethan on Tuesday in Forestburg. Wessington Springs will be at Miller today.

ONIDA — A rally in the second half fell short for Hitchcock-Tulare on Thursday, as Sully Buttes hung on for a 42-33 victory.

After trailing 27-14 at the half, Hitchcock-Tulare narrowed its deficit to single digits in the final quarter.

Olivia Olson had 16 points to lead Sully Buttes, which improved to 6-7. Payge Bakker added 12 points.

Cambree Hoekman was the lone player to reach double figures for Hitchcock-Tulare with 14 points. Katelyn Schroeder and Isabel Gilbert each had six points.

Hitchcock-Tulare will play Faulkton Area in Tulare today. Sully Buttes hosts Warner today.

Gracyn Binger and Katelyn Schroeder had eight and seven points, respectively, for Hitchcock-Tulare, which is now 5-7. Isabel Gilbert added six points.

Karlie Brabent converted on a pair of 3-pointers to lead Redfield with six points. Hayden Gall and Brynn Giblin each had four points.
