Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Blackhawks 60, Highmore-Harrold 36
WOONSOCKET –– The two best teams in the regular season in the 281 Conference met Friday in Woonsocket, but the fifth-ranked Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Blackhawks pulled away to end the first quarter and poured it on after that, coming away with a 60-36 victory over the Highmore-Harrold Pirates.
The Blackhawks move to 15-3 behind 16 points from Addi Bartholow. Liz Boschee had 15 points while Kaylie Robinson added 10 points, 10 rebounds, and dished out seven assists.
Highmore-Harrold falls to 13-4. Jada Baloun led the Pirates with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
Highmore-Harrold faces Aberdeen Roncalli Saturday in Warner, and the Blackhawks travel to James Valley Christian Tuesday.

Ipswich 68, Sunshine Bible Academy 21
MILLER — Using a 17-3 run in the second quarter, Ipswich pulled away for a 68-21 victory against Sunshine Bible Academy on Friday.
With a 43-9 lead at the half, the Tigers limited SBA to just two points in the third quarter to build a 55-11 advantage heading into the final quarter.
Brianna Geditz had 14 points to lead three players in double figures for Ipswich, which is now 10-8. Marley Guthmiller and Anna Nierman added 11 points each.
Tristan Geditz and Jalyssa Hutson each had six rebounds for the Tigers. Gabby Wald and Tristan Geditz each had four assists, while Wald also had a team-high five steals.
Abby Hinman led SBA, which is now 3-13, with eihgt points. Ciera Mickelson and Breanna Thieman had four and three points, respectively.
Hinman and Soliel Mickelson each had four rebounds and two assists for the Crusaders. Thieman recorded four steals.
SBA hosts Sully Buttes on Tuesday.

HURON –– The Arlington Cardinals shut out the James Valley Christian Lady Vikings in the first quarter on the way to a 51-9 victory Thursday at the JVC gym.
Arlington (12-7) was led by Jaelyn Huntimer with 21 points. Elli Vincent and Sony Johnson each added 10.
The Lady Vikings fall to 0-16. Autumn Stahl led the way with three points.
JVC hosts Sanborn Central/Woonsocket on Tuesday.

WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Hitchcock-Tulare rallied in the second half to secure a 53-43 victory against Wessington Springs in a 281 Conference matchup on Thursday.
After leading 12-9 at the end of the first quarter, the Lady Patriots trailed 23-19 heading into the second half. They would outscore Wessington Springs 18-9 in the third quarter to build a 37-32 lead.
Emmerie Arthurs and Katelyn Schroeder had 17 and 16 points, respectively, to lead Hitchcock-Tulare, which improved to 8-10. Cambree Hoekman added nine points.
Kerstynn Heim and Mariah Messmer led Wessington Springs, which is now 7-11, with 14 and 13 points, respectively. Ashlyn Webe added nine points.
Hitchcock-Tulare hosts Aberdeen Christian on Monday in Tulare. Wessington Springs hosts Kimball/White Lake on Tuesday.

IROQUOIS — After holding a 32-27 lead at the half, Iroquois/Lake Preston needed a rally in the final quarter to pull out a 54-52 victory against Sunshine Bible Academy in a 281 Conference matchup on Tuesday.
Hadlee Holt had a game-high 27 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Sharks, who are now 6-12. Bentlee Holt also reached double figures with 12 points.
Kera Dubro had a team-high four assists for Iroquois/Lake Preston, while Chenoa Harris had four steals.
Ciera Mickelson had 17 points to lead three players in double figures for Sunshine Bible Academy, which is now 3-12. Abby Hinman and Breanna Thieman had 12 and 12 points, respectively.
Hinman had eight rebounds and nine assists for the Crusaders, whileThieman had nine steals.
Iroquois/Lake Preston travels to play Colman-Egan on Tuesday.

WOONSOCKET –– The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Blackhawks took control in the second quarter and held on for a 53-45 victory over the Highmore-Harrold Pirates Friday in regular season 281 Conference action in Woonsocket.
Landon Jensen scored 13 points to lead the Blackhawks, now 11-6. Bryce Larson added 11 points. Grant Edwards also had 11 points and hauled in five rebounds.
No individual statistics were available for the Pirates, who fall to 4-12.
Highmore-Harrold hosts Herreid/Selby Area on Monday. The Blackhawks travel to James Valley Christian on Tuesday.

IROQUOIS –– The Iroquois/Lake Preston Sharks jumped out to a big 37-22 halftime lead and held on through an Arlington Cardinals late rally for a 74-59 victory Friday in Iroquois.
The Sharks move to 7-10 behind 23 points off the bench from Carter Arbeiter. Lucas Peskey had 15 points and seven rebounds. Daunte Glanzer chipped in 12 points.
Ervin Carter also had seven rebounds for Iroquois/Lake Preston.
The Cardinals fall to 1-16 despite 29 points from Paxton Rheault. Brecken Vossler added 14 points.
The Sharks travel to Chester on Tuesday.

MILLER –– The Ipswich Tigers jumped out to a 22-6 lead in the first quarter on the way to a 69-49 victory over the Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders on Friday at the SBA Event Center.
Ipswich moves to 10-7 behind 18 points and eight rebounds from Max Kulesa. Kyle Hettich and Tucker Kadlec each added 15 points.
The Crusaders fall to 3-10 despite three players in double figures, led by Jerome Big Eagle with 15 points. Trey Thiemen had 11 points. Jensen Wipf had 10 points and five assists.
The Crusaders host Sioux Falls Lutheran today.

WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Wessington Springs, which is receiving votes in the Class B rankings, outscored Hitchcock-Tulare 23-6 in the opening quarter en route to a 70-31 victory in a 281 Conference matchup on Thursday.
The Spartans, who improved to 14-2, led 43-13 at the half.
Parker Graff had 17 points to lead three players in double figures for Wessington Springs. Karter Mebius and Colby Flowers added 16 and 15 points, respectively, while Gavin Brandenburg had eight points.
Patrick Maynard led the Patriots, who are now 5-11, with 11 points. Logan LaBrie, Devin Enander and Kaiden Weinreis each had four points.
Wessington Springs will face Hanson at noon today in the Warner Classic.
Hitchcock-Tulare hosts Aberdeen Christian on Monday in Tulare.
