Hitchcock-Tulare 52, Highmore-Harrold 48
HITCHCOCK - An 11-4 third quarter put the distance in the game that the Hitchcock-Tulare Lady Patriots needed to defeat the Highmore-Harrold Pirates 52-48 Tuesday in Hitchcock.

Hitchcock-Tulare moves to 5-12 while the Pirates fall to 8-8.

The Lady Patriots were led by Katelyn Schroeder with 16 points. Cambree Hoekman hit four three-point baskets as part of her 14 points for H-T and Isabel Gilbert added 11.

The Pirates were led by Addison McDonnell with 14 points. Jada Baloun chipped in 12.

Highmore-Harrold will host Sanborn Central/Woonsocket on Friday, while the Lady Patriots host Wessington Springs Saturday.

IROQUOIS - The Iroquois/Lake Preston Sharks headed to half with a 35-24 lead and held on for a 61-51 victory over the Wolsey-Wessington Lady Warbirds Tuesday in Iroqouis.

The Sharks got 21 points and 13 rebounds from Hadlee Holt. Adison Moore added 10 points.

The Lady Warbirds fell to 7-11 despite a game-high 24 points from Payton Kemnitz.

The Sharks will take a 8-9 record to Sunshine Bible on Thursday. The Lady Warbirds will play Jones County as part of the Warner Classic Saturday.

Parkston 57, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 51
FORESTBURG — The Parkston Trojans came from a five-point deficit to post a 57-51 come-from-behind win over the Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Blackhawks in a nip-and-tuck girls’ basketball game Tuesday night.

The Blackhawks held a 30-25 lead at the midpoint, but Parkston scored 16 points in each of the final quarters, holding SC/W to 21 points total in the second half to power to the victory.

Berkely Ziebart scored 16 points and had six rebounds, My Thuringer chalked up 14 points and Lauren Ziebart added 11 points.

Liz Boschee was the lone double-figure scorer for the Blackhawks, netting a game-high 24 points, while collecting eight rebounds and passing out five assists in the contest.

SC/W, now 9-8 on the season, visits Highmore-Harrold on Friday.

DE SMET — The De Smet Bulldogs, ranked 3rd in the latest Class B basketball poll, scored nearly all the points they would need in the first half, en route to a 50-29 win over the Flandreau Fliers in non-conference boys’ basketball Tuesday night at the Dog Pound.

Kadyn Fast scored 14 points, while both Tom Aughenbaugh and Grant Wilkinson chipped in 10 as De Smet improved to 14-3 on the season. Trace Van Regenmorter collected 12 points and had three assists for the Bulldogs.

Paul Parsley had 11 points and eight rebounds to lead Flandreau, which falls to 9-7 with the loss.

MILLER — Aiden Lieber had 43 points to lead Mitchell Christian to an 82-54 victory against Sunshine Bible Academy on Monday.

Luke Mentele added 24 points, all coming on 3-point field goals, for the Golden Eagles, who improved to 3-11.
Lieber also had a team-high 10 rebounds, while Siver Enga had five assists and Joseph Tegethoff had eight steals.

Trey Thieman had 23 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead SBA, which is now 1-11. He also had seven rebounds and four steals.

Jerome Big Eagle had 15 points and seven boards for the Crusaders. Tarrence Mickelson recorded five assists.

SBA will travel to play Colome on Thursday.
