Wolsey-Wessington 48, Britton-Hecla 12
WOLSEY — Wolsey-Wessington moved above the .500 mark with a 48-12 victory against Britton-Hecla on Friday.
Caleb Richmond threw for a pair of touchdowns and rushed for another to lead the Warbirds, who are now 4-3, to the victory. He finished with 14 of 18 passing for 240 yards and carried the ball six times for 85 yards.
Both passing touchdowns were caught by Moshe Richmond. He had a total of three catches for 125 yards.
Gabriel Case had a pair of rushing touchdowns for Wolsey-Wessington. He racked up a team-high 161 yards on 14 carries.
Ethan Rearick added 28 yards rushing on 12 carries for the Warbirds. Peyton Rainford had a pair of catches for 51 yards and Colin Hughes had five catches for 47 yards.
Defensively, Hughes led Wolsey-Wessington with five solo tackles and seven assisted tackles. Moshe Richmond had four solo stops and an interception.
The Warbirds will close the season with a home game against Avon, which is ranked No. 3 in Class 9B, on Friday.
