De Smet 46, Hitchcock-Tulare 0
DE SMET - The second-ranked De Smet Bulldogs ran all over the fourth-ranked Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots 46-0 in a matchup of two Heartland teams ranked among the top of Class “9B” Friday in De Smet.
Bulldogs move to 6-1 behind six scores by quarterback Britt Carlson. Carlson was 11 of 20 passing for 240 yards, three scores, and a pair of 2-point conversions while also running for 98 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries. Carlson also had 13 tackles on defense.
Tom Aughenbaugh caught six balls for De Smet, gaining 114 yards and scoring three touchdowns. Gannon Gilligan and Grant Wilkinson each had 10 tackles.
Hitchcock-Tulare falls to 4-3 despite 92 yards on the ground from Erik Salmen on 20 carries.
The Bulldogs finish the regular season Friday at home against Elkton-Lake Benton, ranked fifth in Class 9AA. The Patriots host Great Plains Lutheran in Hitchcock.

DEADWOOD - The Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central Blackhawks moved to 7-0 on the season with a 42-20 record over the Lead-Deadwood Golddiggers at Ferguson Field in Deadwood.
Holden Havlik led the Blackhawks with 188 yards and five touchdowns on 12 of 19 passing while also running for 34 yards on a pair of runs.
Ryder Michalek led W/WS/SC with eight catches for 151 yards and two scores. Blake Larson also caught two touchdown passes. Hayes Havlik ran five times for 77 yards to lead the Blackhawks on the ground.
Caleb Kneen paced the Blackhawk defensive effort with five tackles, one sack, and a fumble recovery.
The Blackhawks host Rapid City Christian Friday in Wessington Springs.
