Wolsey-Wessington 3, Wessington Springs 0
WESSINGTON SPRINGS — The Wolsey-Wessington Lady Warbirds notched a straight-set win over the Wessington Springs Lady Spartans Tuesday night in 281 Conference volleyball.

Set scores for W-W were 25-17, 25-8 and 25-11.

Kailynn Dorris had 12 kills and Samara Clemente added six and had four blocks for the Lady ‘Birds, who improve to 23-3 overall and 6-0 in the conference.

Payton Kemnitz had 16 assists and Kendal Uttecht added 14 while Lainey Uttecht connected with three aces and Shae Uttecht had 28 digs to lead the defense.

For the Lady Spartans, who fall to 14-8, Carissa Scheel had eight kills, Alyssa Grohs passed out nine assists and Addy Orth accounted for five blocks.

Wolsey-Wessington tangles with Miller on Monday, while Wessington Springs plays in the Lake Andes Tournament on Saturday.

James Valley Christian 3, Sunshine Bible Academy 0
MILLER - The James Valley Christian Lady Vikings swept the Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders in a 281 Conference regular season match Thursday by scores of 25-15, 25-15, and 25-16.

The Lady Vikings move to 14-10 behind eight kills from Addy Knight. Cora Hofer added five kills and a pair of blocks.

Kiera Schaeffers nailed three service aces for JVC while Kaylie Robinson added nine assists and Andee Frandsen had 18 digs.

SBA falls to 1-20. Annaliese VanZee had five kills and three blocks. Betra Amare aced three serves.

JVC travels to Wessington Springs on Tuesday.

Hitchcock-Tulare 3. Ipswich Area 0
IPSWICH — The Hitchcock-Tulare Lady Patriots dispatched the Ipswich Tigers in straight sets Thursday night, 25-17, 25-6 and 25-21, to run their season record to 19-6, while the Tigers fall to 5-18.

Katelyn Schroeder led a balanced Lady Pats attack with seven kills and 12 digs, while Ella Johnson had six kills and four aces and Rebecca Huizenga had six kills as well.

Lila Johnson had 18 assists and Isabel Gilbert had two aces and four blocks.

Hitchcock-Tulare hosts conference rival Sanborn Central/Woonsocket on Tuesday in Hitchcock.

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 3, Kimball-White Lake 1

WOONSOCKET - The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Blackhawks defeated the Kimball-White Lake WiLdKats Thursday in Woonsocket, 3-1.

Set scores for the Blackhawks, now 12-12, were 25-22, 10-25, 25-19 and 26-24.

The Blackhawks were led by Liz Boschee with 13 kills on 33 of 39 hitting with four blocks. Kenna Ochsner added 12 kills on 27 of 29 hitting.

Kenzie Schley was 87 of 89 setting with 24 assists for SCW while adding 21 digs.

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket travels to Hitchcock-Tulare Tuesday.

Flandreau 3, Clark/Willow Lake 1
FLANDREAU - The Flandreau Fliers moved to 16-8 with a 3-1 win over the Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones Tuesday in Flandreau by scores of 25-8, 25-19, 23-25, and 25-11.

Clark/Willow Lake was led by Sara Thonvold with three kills on 20 of 23 hitting and five blocks and six digs on defense.

Avery Lee led the Cyclones with eight digs while Shay Michalski and Hannah Heiman each had three kills.

The Cyclones are back in action Tuesday at Tiospa Zina.
