Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Redfield 0
REDFIELD - The Hitchcock-Tulare Lady Patriots swept past the Redfield Pheasants 26-24, 25-12, and 25-22 on Tuesday in Redfield.

The Lady Patriots (3-2) were led by Katelyn Schroeder, who was 28 of 33 hitting with seven kills and 20 of 22 from the service line with three aces. She also led Hitchcock-Tulare with 12 digs.

Lila Johnson set up the Lady Pat offense with 17 assists. Cambree Hoekman was 7 of 10 serving with two aces and added 11 digs.

Redfield falls to 0-3. Katie Rozell had five kills and was 7 of 8 serving with two aces. Chloe Zens led the Redfield defense with 17 digs.

The Lady Patriots also took the junior varsity match by scores of 25-18 and 25-20.

Hitchcock-Tulare will travel to James Valley Christian on Thursday while Redfield travels to Deuel.

Wessington Springs 3, Iroquois/Lake Preston 1
WESSINGTON SPRINGS - The Wessington Springs Lady Spartans defeated the Iroquois/Lake Preston Sharks on Tuesday in Wessington Springs 3-1.

Set scores for the Lady Spartans were 17-25, 25-20, 25-23, and 25-14.

The Lady Spartans moved to 2-2 behind 15 kills, 12 blocks, and 21 digs by Avery Orth. Alyssa Grohs set up the Springs offense with 32 assists.

Carissa Scheel was 15 of 15 serving for the Lady Spartans with three aces and also went 33 of 36 hitting with seven kills.

The Sharks were led by Hadlee Holt with nine kills, two blocks, 20 digs, and three service aces. Rebecca Bich also nailed three service aces.

Adison Moore recorded 26 digs, eight kills, and three aces from the service line as well for the Sharks, now 0-3.
Springs won the JV match 25-15 and 25-18.

The Lady Spartans are off until Sept. 7 when they travel to Howard. The Sharks return to the court Sept. 5 at Flandreau Indian School.
