Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Highmore-Harrold 0
HIGHMORE - The Hitchcock-Tulare Lady Patriots picked up a road sweep over the Highmore-Harrold Pirates Tuesday in Highmore, 25-12, 25-12, and 25-15.

H-T moves to 11-3 behind 11 kills on 28 of 30 hitting by Katelyn Schroeder. Schroeder also led the defense with 19 digs. Ella Johnson was 18 of 20 serving with three aces while Gracyn Bixler also had three aces on 12 of 13 serving.

Rebecca Huizenga nailed 12 kills on 18 of 21 hitting while Lila Johnson paced the Lady Patriot offense with 28 assists.

The Pirates fall to 6-3.

The Lady Patriots will travel to Iroquois to play Iroquois/Lake Preston on Tuesday while the Pirates will host Faulkton.

Redfield 3, Britton-Hecla 1
REDFIELD - The Redfield Pheasants struggled early but rebounded for a 3-1 victory over the Britton-Hecla Braves on Thursday in Redfield.

Set scores for the Pheasants were 18-25, 27-25, 25-8, and 25-20.

The Pheasants move to 5-7 behind strong serving that produced nine aces as a team. Chloe Zens scored four of the service aces on 19 of 21 serving and led the defense with 15 digs. Carli Jungwirth was 11 of 12 from the service line with a pair of aces.

Katie Rozell had 15 kills on 41 of 46 hitting as well as four blocks on the night. Hayden Gall set up the Pheasant offense with 24 assists.

The Braves fell to 6-5. Kaegan Fredrickson led Britton-Hecla with eight kills on 22 of 28 hitting.

The Pheasants swept the JV match 25-23 and 25-16.

Redfield travels to Miller on Tuesday.

Wessington Springs 3, Crow Creek 0
WESSINGTON SPRINGS - The Wessington Springs Lady Spartans swept the Crow Creek Lady Chieftans Thursday in Wessington Springs.

Set scores for the Lady Spartans were 25-11, 25-12, and 25-17.

Avery Orth slammed down 13 kills on 20 of 26 serving for Springs and also had three blocks. Raylee Fagerhaug was 19 of 20 serving with seven aces and led the defense with 10 digs.

Hannah Heezen added five service aces for the Lady Spartans on 12 of 13 serving.

The Lady Spartans will host Tripp-Delmont/Armour on Monday.

Wolsey-Wessington 3, Aberdeen Christian 0
WOLSEY - The Wolsey-Wessington Lady Warbirds, receiving votes in the most recent Class “B” poll, swept the Aberdeen Christian Knights 25-18, 25-14, and 25-18 in Wolsey Thursday.

The Lady Warbirds move to 8-2 behind 14 kills by Kailynn Dorris on 26 of 30 hitting. Lainey Uttecht scored three aces on 12 of 13 serving.

Shae Uttecht led the defense with 23 digs, while Kendal Uttecht led W-W with four blocks. Payton Kemnitz led the home team in setting with 25 assists.

The Knights fall to 1-8 despite three service aces on 20 of 20 serving from Sawyer Schwan. Schwan also led the team with nine assists.

The Lady Warbirds return to action on the road Tuesday in Woonsocket against Sanborn Central/Woonsocket.

Elkton-Lake Benton 3, De Smet 0
ELKTON — The Elkton/Lake Benton Elks posted a dominating 3-0 win over the De Smet Bulldogs, with set scores of 25-15. Elkton improves to 5-6 with the win, while De Smet falls to 3-8.

The Elks used a balanced attack in the game, with three players each getting five kills - Kylie Marlo, Charlie Thooft and Aubree Bales, while Evan Erickson and Andrea Renkly each had four. Erickson also handed out 17 set assists in the game, While Ella Crofutt led the defense with 13 digs/ Ramlo contributed 10 digs and three aces in the match.

Hazel Luethmers had eight kills to lead the Bulldogs. Megan Dylla and Alyssa Asleson each had five assists and Brooke Jennings had five digs.

De Smet will compete in the Lake Preston Invitational on Saturday.

Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Aberdeen Christian 0
ABERDEEN - The Hitchcock-Tulare Lady Patriots took home a road sweep against the Aberdeen Christian Knights on Tuesday in Aberdeen by scores of 25-22, 25-8, and 25-21.

The Lady Patriots move to 10-3 on the year behind a dominant serving night from Ella Johnson, who was 25 of 27 serving with 10 aces.

Katelyn Schroeder led the Lady Patriot attack with 13 kills on 22 of 25 hitting. Rebecca Huizenga added 11 kills on 16 of 17 attacking. Lila Johnson was 57 of 57 serving with 26 assists.

Hitchcock-Tulare travels to Highmore-Harrold on Thursday.
