Hitchcock-Tulare 3, JVC 1
HURON — After rallying for a 27-25 victory in the opening set, Hitchcock-Tulare emerged with a 3-1 victory against James Valley Christian in a 281 Conference match Thursday.

The Lady Patriots, who are now 4-2 overall and 1-0 in the conference, won the second set 25-19  and the fourth set 25-8 after JVC claimed the third set 25-20.

Katelyn Schroeder amassed 25 kills on 62 of 66 attacks to lead Hitchcock-Tulare. Ella Johnson was 33 of 36 hitting with 13 kills, while Isabel Gilbert was 25 of 27 with four kills.

Johnson converted on 18 of 19 serves, while Schroeder was 16 of 17 with two aces for the Lady Patriots. Lila Johnson racked up 39 assits on 127 of 129 sets for Hitchcock-Tulare. Cambree Hoekman and Schroeder finished with 20 and 19 digs, respectively.

Addy Bartholow led JVC with eight kills on 20 of 22 hitting, while Alex Goertz had seven kills on 13 of 14 hits and Addy Knight was 20 of 24 with six kills.

Knight was perfect on 22 serves for the Lady Vikings, who are now 2-4 overall and 2-1 in the conference. Maggie Decker was 17 of 17 with an ace.

Daril Frandsen converted on 63 of 65 sets with 20 assists for JVC. Kaylie Robinson had 26 digs and Jacey Wipf had 18 digs, while Cora Hofer had four blocks.

Hitchcock-Tulare hosts Faulkton Area in Tulare on Tuesday, while the Lady Vikings host Corsica-Stickney on Thursday.

Colman-Egan 3, De Smet 1
DE SMET — Colman-Egan built a 2-0 lead en route to a 3-1 victory against De Smet on Thursday.

The Hawks won the opening set 25-10 and took the second set 25-16. De Smet pulled out a 25-23 win in the third set to avoid the sweep, but Colman-Egan answered with a 25-12 win in the fourth set to claim the match.

Daniela Lee and Brynlee Landis had 13 and 12 kills, respectively, to lead the Hawks. Landis had a team-high five aces, while Lee recorded a pair of blocks.

Kaylee Voelken tallied 14 assists for Colman-Egan, while Lanie Mousel had 12 assists and Karissa Williams added eight assists. Presley Luze had 16 digs.

Hazel Luethmers reached double figures with 10 kills for De Smet. Mirra Beck and Brooke Jennings each had five kills.

Jennings was  9 of 9 serving with an ace for the Lady Bulldogs. Luethmers and Ivey Schoenfelder were both 10 of 13 with an ace.

Megan Dylla was 42 of 43 setting with 13 assists for De Smet, while Alyssa Asleson was 23 of 27 with five assists.

Jennings and Beck each had six digs, while Dylla had five digs.

Luethmers also recorded five blocks.

De Smet, which is now 1-3, travels to face Deuel on Tuesday.
