WOONSOCKET — Thursday, the Sanborn County Sheriff’s office received a report of a stolen vehicle from a rural Woonsocket residence. That led to a pursuit that ended with a 45-year-old Missouri man in Beadle County jail.
Quentin Alexander Hackley, 45, of Higginsville, Mo., assaulted an elderly female driver of a 2018 Ford F-150 pickup truck by pushing her to the ground before driving away with her vehicle.
Hackley was found, along with the vehicle, in Howard. He was taken into custody by Miner County Sheriff Deputy Mike Clary.
Hackley has been charged with grand theft, simple assault, and ingestion of a controlled substance, and is being held in the Beadle County jail.
The elderly female driver received minor injuries.
