VOLGA — De Smet’s Tom Aughenbaugh shot an 83 to grab a share of the top spot in the boys’ division during the Sioux Valley Invitational on Monday at Meadow Creek Golf Course.

Aughenbaugh shared the medalist honors with Blake Benson of Garretson, while Grant Endahl of Baltic and Mason Sabers of McCook Central shared the third spot with scores of 86.

Max Kees was fifth for the Bulldogs with a score of 87, while teammate Kadyn Fast shared the sixth spot with a an 89.

Tristan Olson of De Smet carded a 101 to finish 13th.

Caitlyn Cradduck of Sioux Valley ran away with the girls’ title. She shot a 78, which was 12 strokes better than the 90 shot by runner-up Claire Berg of Baltic.

Brooke Jennings of De Smet was third at 92, while Madison Bushkofsky was fourth at 95 and Haedyn Painter of Baltic was fifth at 97.

Harper Anderson recorded a top-10 finish for the Lady Bulldogs. She finished seventh at 103.
