The Huron High School Speech and Debate team attended the Taking Flight Tournament in Lennox on Dec. 9.

At the tournament, Huron students competed in Public Forum debate, Lincoln Douglas debate, and Impromptu speaking. The tournament was the first time the Tigers competed in Impromptu speaking, but the students enjoyed the event. In impromptu, students are given a topic and then have seven minutes to both prepare and deliver a speech on the topic.

Lily Halter finished third in Impromptu for the Tigers.
