HOT SPRINGS - The Miller/Highmore-Harrold Bandits took three victories in Friday’s East-West dual competition as part of the Holiday Extravaganza in Hot Springs over the weekend.

The Bandits had seven wrestlers come away with three victories in the duals, with Chase Hurd at 106 pounds, Talon Ping (120), Kellan Hurd (138), Teagan Foreman (144), Ryder Rowland (157), Colby Kolda (165), and Mathis Resel (285) each knotting three victories as Miller/Highmore-Harrold defeated Custer 40-36, Lead-Deadwood 57-16, and Hot Springs 69-12.

In the tournament portion of the event on Saturday, Kellan Hurd won a championship for the Bandits at 138, while Chase Hurd at 106, Teagan Foreman at 144 and Colby Kolda at 165 all finished second.

Ping at 120, Jordan Schafer at 132 and Rowland at 157 were third for Miller/Highmore-Harrold, while Kia McCauley at 126 was fourth and Jaymin VanDerWerff at 113 was fifth.

The Bandits amassed 207 points on Saturday to finish behind Custer, which won the title in the 21-team event with 233.5 points. Philip/Kadoka Ara was third at 205, followed by Lingle-Ft. Laramie/Southeast (Wyo.) at 170.5 and Sturgis at 160.
