IROQUOIS — Barbara Lund, 60, of Iroquois, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at her home in Iroquois under hospice care.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish with burial to follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation with her family present will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb, 26, at Welter Funeral Home.
Barbara Darlene was born on April 9, 1963, to Charles and Joyce (Bonebrake) Price in Huron. She attended St. Martin elementary school and Huron High School, graduating in 1981. She attended Northen State University before returning home to start her career in the restaurant business.
Barb married Jeffrey Lund in January 2004 in Reno, Nev.
Barb owned Dairy Queen in Huron for the past 24 years. Her biggest love was the Dairy Queen. When she wasn’t at the restaurant, Barb enjoyed traveling with her husband Jeff. They had many trips to Las Vegas to watch UFC fights, Mexico excursions, Key West, and cruises. She loved to sit on the beach and enjoy the sunshine. Barb also enjoyed reading.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff of Iroquois; her children, Lucy (Kim Harvieux) Wilkins of Des Moines, Iowa, Derek Matthews of Huron, Shelby (Trace) Lewis of Mitchell, and step-son, Brad (Cheri) Lund of De Smet; her six grandchildren, Brenden Matthews, Emma Matthews, Brody Maunders, Jovie Maunders, Brooklynn Lund, and Karissa Lund; her mother, Joyce Price of Huron; her sisters, Charlene (Dan) Hilkemeier of Mitchell and Jane (Jeff Brown) Ondricek of Huron; her mother-in-law, Lily Lund of Madison; her brothers-in-law, Steven (Bobbi) Lund of Howard, Brian (Kari) Lund of Hermosa, and sister-in-law, Brenda (Scott) Brastrup of Gillette, Wyo.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her son, Kyle Wilkins; her father, Charles Price; and all her grandparents.
