HUDSON, Wis. — Beverly Jean (Sargent) Larsen, 82, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, of Lewey Body Dementia surrounded by her family and the loving caregivers at Red Cedar Canyon in Hudson, Wis.
A celebration of Beverly’s life is set for 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, at the Cottage Grove campus of the Crossroads Church, 7955 Ivy Stone Ave., Cottage Grove, Minn.
Bev was born in Miller, and attended rural country schools; for six years north of Wessington, and then two years southwest of Wessington Springs. She graduated from Wessington Springs High School in 1960.
After high school, Bev met and married Bob Larsen and they raised their family in the Minneapolis, Minn., area. Bev then started her career as an entrepreneur, owning and operating several boutiques in the Minneapolis/St Paul area. Her ambition led her to pursue a bachelor’s degree (English and Theatre) and later a master’s degree, both from the University of Wisconsin at River Falls.
Her last career involved teaching English and Speech classes at Chippewa Valley Technical College, Wis., and at UWRF. Her love for Jesus and her family were evident in her life. She was active in Crossroads Church in Cottage Grove, Minn., and later at Trinity Lutheran in Hudson, playing the organ, teaching Sunday School classes, and participating in Bible studies.
Beverly is survived by her husband Bob; children Jon, Scott (Jane), Daniel (Shellie), and Kori (Carl); siblings Billie (Eva) and Virginia (Don); grandkids Jenna, Robby, Alex, Blake, Emma, Jack, Greta, Ted, and Ben.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Twin Lakes Bible Camp would be greatly appreciated. (www.twinlakesbiblecamp.org)
