The piano students of Beverly Bigge observed National Music Week by presenting a recital on May 8 at Hope Lutheran Church.

Piano students who study with Beverly Bigge received National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC) gold cups.

Students participating in the local Huron Junior Festival are required to memorize two pieces and perform them for an adjudicator.

Points are accrued from year to year to earn cups.

• Fourth gold cup (60 points): Piano Solo: Isabel Gilbert. She received twelve consecutive superior
ratings.

• Second gold cup (30 points): Piano Solo: Anna Arhart with six consecutive superior ratings; Piano Duet: Alexandra Hohm and Audri Hohm with six consecutive superior ratings

• First gold cup (15 points): Piano Solo: Madalyne Bock
