Blackhawks' Boschee defends high jump title

Posted

SIOUX FALLS — Sanborn Central/Woonsocket senior Jeff Boschee capped off an impressive high school track and field career by winning the Class A boys’ high jump at the South Dakota State Track Meet Saturday at Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls.

Boschee leapt 6-feet, 6-inches to take home the title, bettering Carter Tennyson of Custer, who cleared 6-5.

Rain hindered the final day of competition in many events, but area competitors finished strong through the weather.

Iroquois/Lake Preston’s Adison Moore placed in three Class B girls’ events Saturday - taking second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.44 seconds, then third in the 200-meter dash at 26.43, and finally, Moore ran 1:00.86 to finish fifth in the 400-meter dash.
