HURON — Brandon Valley snapped a three-match losing skid with an 8-1 victory against Huron on Tuesday.

The lone victory for the Tigers cam ein No. 3 doubles, where Ler Hai Moo and Ywa Hae Moo combined to pull out a victory in a tie breaker against Sanders Anshutz and Titan Gross of Brandon Valley.

After winning the opening set 6-4, the Huron duo were edged 7-5 in the second set before recording a 10-7 victory in the tiebreaker.

“Ler Hai Moo and Ywa Hae Moo played a very good doubles match and picked up a good conference win, “ said Huron coach Tim Hedblom.

The Tigers had they chance to claim a couple wins in singles, but had the opportunity slip from their grasp.

The Lynx tallied sound wins in the No. 1-4 singles matches, but Huron challenged for wins at No. 5 and 6.

“Htoo Zan, Ler Hai, Aung played very well in singles.  They gave themselves a chance to win the match,” Hedblom said. “We were just unable to pick up those wins.  If we are able to get those matches it is a completely different dual against a very good Brandon Valley team.  I am proud of how we played today.”

The Tigers will travel to Pierre to face Rapid City Christian and Lennox on Thursday, before closing the regular season against Yankton and Brookings on Saturday in Brookings.
