Cardiology services expand in Huron

Posted

HURON — Local access to cardiology care has expanded, with the addition of Kevin Vaska, MD, cardiologist, to the care team at the HRMC Physicians Clinic.

Dr. Vaska has been a member of the Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) medical staff since 2004 as an outreach physician, serving the cardiology needs of the community for 20 years.

Dr. Vaska recently closed his clinic practice in Sioux Falls, allowing him the opportunity to join the HRMC Physicians Clinic staff and increase his availability to care for patients in Huron to two days per week. Dr. Vaska is accepting new and prior patients.

In addition, Kelly Steffen, DO, has joined North Central Heart in Sioux Falls and has resumed outreach in Huron one day per month, increasing to twice per month in January 2025. Dr. Steffen had previously served patients in Huron with Sanford Health since 2013.

She is accepting new and prior patients and will continue to host clinic in the HRMC Specialty Clinic space on the 4th floor of the Central Towers building at HRMC.

Heart health is vital. If you have concerns about your cardiovascular health, talk to your primary care provider or call a cardiology office for an appointment.

If you’d like to make an appointment with Dr. Vaska at the  HRMC Physicians Clinic, please call 605-353-7660 or request an appointment online at huronregional.org.
