HURON –– The Huron City Commission approved a restoration project at Splash Central water park for $68,500 Monday evening during the regular meeting.
Zach Olson, the Splash Central manager, explained the change to removing and repainting the green waterslide and multiple features in the kid pool and the surrounding area of the green waterslide. This was a change from the original budget of $188,209 for the project due to delaying a gel coating for the green waterslide to inspect the slide and ensure the money is being spent wisely. The gel coating will fit within the 2026 budget if the decision is to go forward with that project.
