Clark/Willow Lake, Miller/Highmore-Harrold to wrestle in Class B State Dual Tournament

WATERTOWN — Wrestling teams from Clark/Willow Lake and Miller/Highmore-Harrold will compete in the Class B State Dual Tournament, which will be held today at Watertown Civic Arena.

The 8-team event will begin at 11 a.m., with four first-round matchups.

Winner Area is the top seed with an 8-0 record and will face No. 8 Custer, which is 10-3, to open the event.

Second-seeded Canton, which is 17-0, will square off against No. 7 Miller/Highmore-Harrold, which is 14-3, in its opening match.

Bon Homme/Avon is the third seed with an 11-0 record and will face No. 6 Clark/Willow Lake, which is 14-1.

Fourth-seeded Philip/Kadoka Area/Wall, which is 9-1, will meet No. 5 Kimball/White Lake/Platte-Geddes, which is 12-1, in the opening round.

The semifinals and consolation semifinals will follow at noon, with the final round slated to begin at 2 p.m.

Class A
Sturgis will be the top seed for the Class A State Dual Tournament, which will be held today at Dacotah Bank Center in Brookings.

The first round will begin at 11 a.m., with four matches.

The Scoopers, who are 10-1, will face No. 8 Tea Area, which is 12-4, to opening the tournament.

In the other opening matches, second-seeded Pierre (9-2) faces No. 7 West Central (14-2); third-seeded Rapid City Stevens (8-2) faces No. 6 Watertown (10-4); and fourth-seeded Aberdeen Central (16-2) faces No. 5 Brandon Valley (13-4).

The semifinals and consolation semifinals are set to begin at noon, with the final round slated for 2 p.m.
