HURON — A Community Partner roundtable get-together will take place at 9 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 18, in Suite 202 of the Cornerstones Career Learning Center. Come in the 3rd Street door and take the elevator to the thrid floor.
Speakers Christia Pavlow of the S.D. Dept of Social Services; Joan Groves, a Salvation Army board member and Reva Pownell, the Salvation Army food pantry manager; as well as Sue Gose, co-founder of Helping Hands, will share what services their respective organizations offer to help people meet their basic needs.
The S.D. Departments of Labor and Human Services and Cornerstone Career Learning Center strive to bring organizations together to share information on services offered.
Everyone is invited to learn about resources available in the Huron community and to share ideas on how best to serve those in need.
This is the first of what are planned quarterly roundtables.
