From the ashes of the tragedy of the burned down Beef Complex, the Dakota Events Complex (DEX) has arisen and the ribbon-cutting on the new 150,000 square foot building was held Thursday during the S.D. State Fair.
From the left are State Fair Manager Peggy Besch, S.D. Lt. Gov. Larry Rhoden, Dept. of Ag and Naturual Resources Sec. Hunter Roberts, S.D. State Fair Foundation co-chair Jim White and S.D. State Fair Commissioner Dusty Anderson.
The ribbon cutting marked the finish line on the project, built with a combination of state funds and private donations, over nearly a three-year period.
