HURON — Celebrate the Season at the Library This December - the HPL is the place to be this holiday season. With festive events for all ages, special fundraisers, and opportunities to give back to the community, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Santa Letters: The library is helping you send your letters straight to Santa at the North Pole.! Write your letter using the holiday stationery available at the library or bring your own. Drop your letter into Santa’s mailbox at the library between Dec. 2 and 20, so it reaches Santa in time for Christmas. Be sure to include your name and mailing address so Santa can write back.
Taco John’s Nachos Navidad Fundraiser: Taco John’s has chosen the library as its partner for this year’s Nachos Navidad fundraiser!
Throughout the month, $1 from every Christmas ornament sold at Taco Johns - beginning on Black Friday - and $0.25 from each Nachos Navidad purchase will support the library’s “After the Bell” program.
Thank you for supporting this initiative while enjoying some festive treats!
The Library Giving Tree: This year we’re launching the Library Giving Tree—a meaningful way for patrons to support library programs. Pick an envelope from the tree, choose a donation amount, and direct your gift to initiatives like Feed & Read, the Summer Reading Program, or lost book replacements for children’s accounts.
Middle School Honors Orchestra: Get into the holiday spirit with a special musical performance by the Huron Middle School Honors Orchestra on Dec. 10 at 1 p.m. Enjoy seasonal favorites and the festive sounds of the season!
