HURON — Huron Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce dermatology outreach is now available in the HRMC Specialty Clinic
Because, having to drive a long distance to see a health care provider is not only costly but inconvenient, HRMC continually works to recruit outreach and full-time physicians to offer quality healthcare to meet the needs of residents in Huron and the surrounding communities.
Jeffrey Smith, MD, a board-certified dermatologist, will begin seeing patients in Huron on Monday, September 27. He treats a variety of conditions, including acne, psoriasis, eczema, rosacea, skin cancer and skin infection. A graduate of the Texas Tech University School of Medicine, Dr. Smith completed his residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical College, New York, NY.
For the past five years, he’s cared for patients of all ages at Prairie Lakes Dermatology Clinic in Watertown, South Dakota. Dr. Smith and physician assistant Abby Gietzen specialize in general dermatology, surgical dermatology, cosmetic and laser treatments and contact dermatitis. He and Gietzen will alternate seeing patients in the HRMC Specialty Clinic on the fourth Monday of each month.
A listing of clinic information, clinic days and appointment phone numbers for all visiting specialty physicians is available on HRMC’s website at www.huronregional.org/find-a-doc.
