Huron hosts Pierre in Middle School volleyball

HURON — The Huron Tiger eighth-grade volleyball team dropped a pair of matches to Pierre on Monday at the Huron Middle School Gymnasium.
Pierre outlasted Huron 2-1 in the “A” match 22-25, 25-22, 13-15. Huron got four kills from Maggie Storm and three each from Claire Davis and Reagan Bischoff, who also had eight assists. Davis had five aces.
In the “B” match, Pierre won in straight sets 25-13, 25-18. Huron got aces from Isabella Fechner, Amy Nejia-Castillo, Kayla Nunez and Maggie Storm.
The eigth-graders return to action Thursday at Watertown.
