HURON — The Huron eighth-grade girls’ basketball team swept Brookings in a pair of games Thursday.
The Tigers emerged with a 29-23 victory in the A-game.
Ramsey Rozell had 16 points to lead Huron, while Jayla Schley also reached double figures with 11 points.
Huron edged Brookings 20-16 in the B-game.
Maddy Metzger led the Tigers with nine points. Laney Marshall had four points and Talley Hins added three points.
Seventh grade
The Huron seventh-grade girls’ basketball teams dropped a doubleheader to Brookings on Thursday afternoon, at the Huron Middle School gym.
The “A” team dropped a 26-18 decision, with Lylli Hofer accounting for all of Huron’s points.
In the “B” contest, Brookings came away with a 27-6 win. Amari Greene scored six points for Huron.
