Tuesday evening fire burns building in Huron

HURON –– A fire on Tuesday evening left multiple residents of a Huron multiple-residence building seeking temporary housing.
The fire, reported just before 7 p.m. at the intersection of Wisconsin Ave. SW and Sixth St., brought firefighters from the Huron Fire Department and Huron Volunteer Fire Department to the scene with multiple trucks to contain the fire.
Apartment residents were assisted by Salvation Army and Red Cross to temporary housing at Dakota Inn. McDonald’s of Huron provided the displaced with food.
