Game on for mental health

HURON — The game is on for mental health!

Community Counseling Services is hosting its first-ever CCS Dodgeball Tournament Saturday, May 3.

The event begins at 10 a.m. at the Expo Building on the S.D. State Fairgrounds.

This community-wide event combines the thrill of a friendly and competitive dodgeball tournament with a mission to make a lasting impact on mental health in the communities served by CCS.

All proceeds will be directed toward the CCS mission — to promote health for individuals and families in the communities they serve.

CCS serves seven counties in South Dakota: Beadle, Hand, Kingsbury, Jerauld, Lake, Miner and Moody. CCS provides mental health services to all ages in these seven counties regardless of ability to pay.

The tournament is an opportunity to make a tangible impact on community mental health. Teams can register for $200, with all proceeds directly supporting CCS mental health services. To register your team or inquire about sponsorship opportunities, please get in touch with Melissa Hofer or Meagon Moser at hr@ccs-sd.org or 605-352-8596.

Prizes to be awarded include $500 for first, $200 for second, $100 for third, and a Best Team Costume for $50. You can register a team at: https://www.ccs-sd.org/dodgeball-team-registration. Registration is requested by April 15.

Donations are also gratefully accepted if you cannot participate in the tournament. Donations can be made by sending a check to CCS 357 Kansas Ave. S.E., Huron, S.D. 57350 or https://www.ccs-sd.org/donate-today.

Join CCS for a day of fun, camaraderie and philanthropy at this Dodgeball Tournament. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of individuals and families facing mental health issues.
