PIERRE – Registration is now open for the 2024 South Dakota Governor’s Agricultural Summit.

The Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources (DANR) will host the two-day event June 12-13 in Huron, at the State Fairgrounds.

This year’s Ag Summit is paired with the DEXtravaganza ‘Grand Opening’ Concert on June 13, featuring country music superstar Thomas Rhett.

The Ag Summit agenda will include:

• Updates from the National Ag Law Center on Waters of the US and Foreign Owned Ag at the national level;
• An update on Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) from Dr. Thompson, the state veterinarian;
• Ag economic outlook from Elaine Kub;
• Governor’s Ag Ambassador Award presentation;
