Hayden Blake Goglin was born June 16, 2005, to Eldon and Amanda (Brown) Goglin, at Huron, and joined big brother, Caleb.
Hayden attended school in Huron. During his school years, Hayden played a variety of sports, including wrestling and football, but his love was for little league baseball.
Hayden had a passion for culinary arts. During school, he worked at Prime Time Tavern. In 2024, he followed his passion to Sioux Falls, where he began his career with The Country Club of Sioux Falls. Hayden often shared photos of his creations and enjoyed explaining step by step how it was done. He had earned Employee of the Month before his passing. He absolutely loved it and everyone he worked with. He was so thankful for the opportunity.
Hayden was clever, keen and had a quick, often sarcastic answer for everything. He was a prankster — and a joy spreader. He used his humor and quick wit to add a dash of surprise in everything he did. Hayden’s spirit was infectious, his heart was unmatched with generosity and his smile would light up a room.
Hayden enjoyed gaming, collecting anything mushroom related, spending time with his friends. He was an animal lover, always trying to sneak a new one home. He enjoyed going to art galleries and book stores with his little sister, Kaydence. He enjoyed cooking us some of his delicious meals and talking about life.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Randy Doty; his great-grandparents, Lillian Pederson, Galand and Lucile Brown, Ramona Eschen, John and Shirley Doty and TearaKay Soukop; and all of his beloved fur babies.
Thankful for sharing his life are his mom, Amanda Goglin of Huron; his dad, Eldon Goglin of Huron; his bonus mom, Jessica Goglin of Sioux Falls; his brother, Caleb (Haylee Peterson) Goglin of Brookings; and his sister, Kaydence Goglin of Sioux Falls.
Hayden is also survived by his grandmothers, Barb Doty of Wessington Springs and Tammie Marlow of Mitchell; his grandfathers, James Brown of Wessington Springs and Jimmy Goglin of Tyndall; his aunts, Ashley (Earl) Geib of Plankinton and Abby (Cory) Carlson of Black Hawk; his cousins, Nevada and Scout Geib; and countless friends, family, co-workers and neighbors.
He touched all of our hearts.
