HURON  — Senior Hamtyn Heinz was named to the 2023 All-Eastern South Dakota Volleyball Team for Huron.

Heinz was the lone selection to the team for the Tigers.

Heinz racked up a career total of 2,092 assists from her setter position.

Defensively, Heinz also amassed 1,143 digs during her high school career.

She finished with 284 kills, 156 ace serves and 102 blocks.

Also named to the All-ESD team were senior Grace Kuch of Aberdeen Central; senior Sydney Benson and sophomore Jayaunna Stroh of Brandon Valle; senior Sydney Bebensee of Brookings; junior Maggie Meister, eighth-grader Josalyn Samuels and sophomore Gabbi Zachariasen of Harrisburg; senior Reese Terwilliger of Pierre; junior Emery Thury and senior Carter Jurrens of Watertown; and senior Macy Drotzmann of Yankton.

Senior Miranda Falconer earned honorable mention for Watertown.
