Top finishers from Huron:
• In Varsity Student Congress, Lily Halter placed third.
• In Poetry, Lily Halter placed third.

“Lily has been having a great Congress season,” said head coach Mitch Gaffer. “She has made the awards stage the past 3 tournaments. Along with her finishes in Poetry, she is really anchoring the team.
“Green is also making excellent progress in her event, Story Telling,” he added. “She’s been improving every tournament and is showing that she is ready for the State Oral Intepr tournament.”
The next tournament for the team will be the State Oral Interp Tournament, which will be after the Thanksgiving break on Dec. 5-7 in Sturgis.
