The Mitchell Technical College Licensed Practical Nursing program recently held its graduation and awards ceremonies for nursing students.

The first award was the “2023 Florence Nightingale Award” presented to Hannah Hofhenke of Iroquois.

She is the daughter of Mark and Larica Hofhenke of Iroquois.This award is presented to one student that exemplifies the following: ability to bring in-depth knowledge of the science and art to nursing situations, willingness to enter the patient’s world and being sensitive to the other, demonstrating personal and professional accuracy, exhibiting a desire to be with persons nursed, brings energy and joy to practice, inspires trust and competence and preparation, exceeds course expectations and is considered outstanding and demonstrates exceptional decision-making skills. 

Hofhenke has taken her State Boards and has passed and will be working as a License Practical Nurse.
