HRMC completes new dialysis center

Posted

HURON — Kraus-Anderson (KA) has completed construction on a new $2.45 million dialysis center at Huron Regional Medical Center.

Designed by Wold Architects, the 4,165-square-foot project remodeled the current clinic space to create a new 12-bay dialysis unit, including two  isolation treatment rooms. The new state-of-the-art, closed-loop dialysis system will replace an outdated dialysis suite with an aged water system in the medical center’s main campus building.

The project also included a new water system and utilities to the building, a generator for power backup, and updated the exterior façade.

Last year, KA completed a $9 million, 23,500-square-foot expansion for the medical center, doubling the size of the clinic in a vertical expansion. A 9,500-square-foot renovation of the emergency and imaging departments added new infusion bays, treatment rooms and advanced hospital imaging, including MRI and 3D mammography scanners.
