HURON — As part of this year’s Hospital Week activities, Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is hosting a luminary celebration on Wednesday, May 12, at 8:30 p.m. in Legacy Park.
The ceremony, “Lights to Remember, Hope for Tomorrow,” will feature 300 lighted luminary bags placed around Legacy Park, which is located on the southwest corner of the hospital campus at the corner of Kansas Avenue and Fifth Street Southeast. Community members are invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket and join in remembering lives lost to COVID-19 and honoring health care heroes who cared for all those impacted by the pandemic.
The event will also be a time of celebrating the hope and promise of the future and rededicating HRMC to the care of the community. Residents and businesses are encouraged to turn on their porch and exterior lights at 8:30 p.m. in a show of support.
