HURON – In a game ended early due to rain, the Aberdeen Smittys 13U team defeated the Huron Tigers 8-4 Thursday at Klock Field.

Smittys jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first inning, but Huron was able to put up three runs in the second inning to take a one-run lead. However, the lead was short-lived as Aberdeen scored a pair of runs in the top of the inning and added on until the rains came.

Parker Bischoff opened the game on the mound for Huron, tossing four innings, allowing five runs on three hits and six walks, striking out four. Josh Gilbert finished the game, allowing three runs in one inning on two hits and two walks while striking out a pair of Smittys hitters.
