The Huron Area Education Federal Credit Union recently presented its Ca$h for the Classroom awards for the new school year.

On the left, HAEFCU manger Kristen Jurgens presents funds to Michelle Vissia, a fifth-grade Special Services teacher at the Washington 4-5 Center, while on the right, branch assistant manager Shari Blue makes a presentation to Stacey Westby, a third-grade Special Services teacher at Madison 2-3 Center.

This is the ninth year of assistance by the credit union to local teachers, to help purchase extras for their classrooms. A second presentation will take place in the spring and educators in a five-county region who are credit union members are eligible for the $200 award.
