BROOKINGS — With four golfers fnishing inside the top 10, Harrisburg claimed the title during the Bill Scholten Invitational on Monday at Brookings Country Club.
Harrisburg finished at 282, which put them 10 strokes ahead of second-placed Pierre. Watertown was third at 293, followed by Brandon Valley at 295 and Mitchell at 307.
Huron was 16th in the final standings.
Sawyer Sonnenschein of Pierre and Gavin Weir of Harrisburg shared the top spot with scores of 68, while Ty Lenards of Watertown was third with a 69.
Harrisburg teammates Riley Christensen and Charlie Swift shared the fourth spot with scores of 71.
Jack Bales led Huron with a 95, while Ben Kleinsasser and Emrick DeDeyne had scores of 99. Riley Jankord rounded out the lineup with a 100.
Huron travels to participate in the Mitchell Invite at 10:30 a.m. Friday.
