Tiger gymnastics team shows well in Brookings

BROOKINGS — The Huron Tigers gymnastics team finished fourth at the Patty Jorgenson Invite in Brookings on Saturday.
Sioux Falls Lincoln won the team title at the invite with 129.7 team points, barely edging out Yankton, who finished with 129.1. Huron finished with a 117.1 team score.
Cameron Ruth finished third in vault and second in bars to finish sixth in all-around for Huron. Eastyn Eichstadt finished seventh in vault.
“Cameron Ruth had a great meet. She was strong in floor vault and bars. Eastyn Eichstadt had a great vault,” Huron coach Julie King said. “Very proud of the team.”
Ava Koller of Yankton won the all-around despite not winning any individual event. Anna Leuning of Lincoln won vault, Dori Clendenon of Lincoln won the bars, and Lilly Fenicle of Roosevelt won the beam and floor. Fenicle finished second in all-around.
The Tigers are back in action for the Huron Invitational on Friday.
