HURON — The Huron Tigers gymnastics team hosted Chamberlain and Pierre in the first home action of the season.

Pierre swept the varsity and junior varsity action, though Chamberlain’s Kylah Biggins was the top in varsity all-around with a score of 36.100, edging out Ryen Sheppick (34.80) and Emmy Loe (34.35) of Pierre.

Huron scored 22.25 in the junior varsity team competition and 32.6 in the varsity competition.

Huron coach Julie King was pleased with her team.

“Maria Wilson and Ellie Puterbaugh had great beam routines. I was very impressed,” King noted. “Maiya Hein showed a clean bar routine and had a beautiful vault. Alivia Cunnard had a nice meet with a new vault performed.”

The Tigers are back in action on Saturday in Pierre starting at 10 a.m.
