YANKTON — Huron’s seventh-grade girls’ basketball team split a pair of games against Yankton on Monday.
Yankton earned a 30-17 win in the A-game.
Jayla Schley led the Tigers with 10 points, while Ramsey Rozell had six points, including a 4 of 9 effort from the free-throw line.
Huron secured a 27-22 victory in the B-game.
Autumn Siedschlag reached double figures with 14 points to lead the Tigers. Madyson Metzgar had six points, while Jesse Mattke and Laney Marshall added four and three points, respectively.
Huron will host Pierre on Nov. 28.
Eighth-grade
YANKTON — Huron’s eighth-grade girls’ basketball team earned a split against Yankton on Monday.
Yankton escaped with a 30-27 victory in the A-game.
Reagan Bischoff reached double figures with 11 points for the Tigers. Maggie Storm had eight points and Claire Davis had six points.
Huron edged the Gazelles 18-17 in the B-game.
Kinsley Armstrong led the Tigers, while Charleigh Brewer and Kayleigh Nicola each had four points.
