HURON — Mitchell earned a pair of wins against the Huron seventh-grade football team on Monday.

The Kernels won the A-game 6-0.

Colt Culver was 6 of 11 passing for 84 yards and carried the ball eight times for 74 yards to lead the Tigers.

Parker Bischoff added 66 yards on 11 carries, while Ian Larson had two catches for 27 yards and Sean Janes had two catches for 24 yards.

Quincy Rashaad led Huron’s defensive unit with seven tackles. Noah Owens, Ben Cardona and Culver each had four tackles, while Bischoff had a fumble recovery.

Mitchell emerged with a 12-6 win in the B-game.

Rashaad had the lone touchdown for the Tigers with a 55-yard run. He finished with nine carries for 147 yards, while Larson added 59 yards on six carries.

John Lopez-Lopez and Ernest Wallette had five and four tackles, respectively.
