HURON — The Huron Tigers wrestlers split Thursday with the Harrisburg Tigers at the Huron Arena, with the girls winning 24-18 and the boys falling 60-14.

Emrick DeDeyne won a 6-5 decision at 106, Moses Gross won by technical fall at 157 pounds, and Ryan Florey got Huron’s lone pinfall of the night at 175 pounds for the boys.

Huron swept the lower weights in the girls’ match, with Mya Shee at 100 pounds and Chalie Sah at 107 pounds each recording a win by pin. Aleshka Oyola-Rodriguez and Moo B Say each had forfeit victories for Huron.

Huron grapplers are now off until Jan. 28, when they travel to Yankton.

Tigers ink win against Brookings
BROOKINGS — With seven victories, including six by pin, Huron earned a 42-36 victory against Brookings on Tuesday.

Recording pins for the Tigers were Emrick DeDeyne at 106 pounds, Carter Nelson at 113, Crayton Siedschlag at 138, Teagan Lien at 144, Tyce Huber at 150 and Moses Gross at 165.

Levi Johnson had the other win for Huron by forfeit at 157.

Brookings edged the Huron girls 27-24, winning at all four weights that had matches.

Earning wins by forfeit for the Tigers were Mya Shee at 100, Camilla Von Eye at 120, Maritza Hernandez at 145 and Paola Fernandez Fernandez at 185.
