HURON – Third grade students from the Madison 2-3 Center and from James Valley Christian School had the opportunity to visit the Mark and Paula Kleinsasser farm north of Huron on Tuesday.
Huron FFA members and volunteers aided the students to sit on a horse, visit an authentic country schoolhouse, take a wagon ride, hold baby chicks, pet young animals, learn about grain and plainting as well as animal feed like distiller’s grain and silage, and witness a sheep being shorn.
The event was sponsored by the Huron Chamber and Visitors Bureau ag committee.
