Huron U14 hockey competes in Mitchell Tournament


MITCHELL — The Huron U14 girls’ hockey team participated in the Palace City Cup U15 Tournament, which concluded Sunday.

The Lady All-Stars were edged 4-3 by Mitchell in the opening game. Taylor Sorben had a pair of goals and an assist, while Natalee McGaugh also had a goal.

Watertown defeated Huron 9-1 in the second game, with Sorben having the lone goal for the Lady All-Stars.

Oahe emerged with a 9-2 win against Huron in the third game.  

Charlotte Miner and Sorben had a goal each for the Lady All-Stars.

In the final game, which immediately followed the game against Oahe, Huron suffered a 13-3 setback against Mitchell.

Sorben earned the hat trick with all three goals for the Lady All-Stars, while Tegan Rogers had an assist.
